Communicate with all of your family members and don't forget to include your pets! Gather supplies: water, non-perishable goods, sources of light including flashlights and candles, batteries, and medications. Fill up your gas tank. Get some cash to have on hand. Charge all of your electronics. (Bonus tip: download audiobooks, podcasts, and movies to enjoy in case the power goes out!) Make sure pets have their collars, food, water, and any medications or emergency supplies they may need. Waterproof and secure important documents. Have emergency numbers written out.
